Everyone gets all bent out of shape about Christmas Creep but what about LeBron Free Agency Creep? I am so fucking sick of reading about where LeBron may or may not play next year. July 1 is NOT “right around the corner.” It’s only the second week of the current NBA season!!! Maybe if LBJ wasn’t so concerned about next year, his team wouldn’t be 3-3 this year. Not that I give a shit, there’s no way the Cavs are beating the Celtics this year. Book it.
Being a Sox fan, I don’t think I have any right to bitch and moan about high payrolls, so I’ll let Joe Posnanski point out that the Yanks have spent an extra $350 million since 2002 in winning one World Series.
Fans hoping to catch a glimpse Thursday of U2’s free concert celebrating 20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall will have to “scale these city walls” after organizers threw up a barrier to block the view for those without tickets. The move has triggered outrage from Berliners and tourists alike, all of whom see the irony in building wall around a concert dedicated to the wall that has come down.
I know it’s early, but these numbers from Grant Hill make me very happy. Averaging a double-double and racking up a +20 in the process is no joke. BLUE DEVILS!
